MY ANSWERS



The MEAN (or average) is calculated by adding together amounts and then dividing by the NUMBER of amounts. The mean of 9,5 and 10 is 9 + 5 + 10 = 24, divide 24 by 3 = 8. So the mean is 8.

The RANGE is the difference between the smallest and largest amounts in the set. 10 - 5 = 5, so the range is 5.

The MEDIAN is the middle amount in a set of numbers.

The MODE is the amount which occurs most often in a set.
